Established in 2008, Gelateria Callipo has as its ambitious main goal to make known the genuine artisanal Gelato production of Pizzo, not only throughout Italy, but worldwide. The old recipes of this craftsmanship have been revived and combined with modern techniques in order to obtain an industrial product with all the characteristics of our local artisanal tradition.
Following the company founder’s philosophy of “Quality first of all”, with passion and dedication, Callipo Gelateria has conquered important goals and achieved prestigious success in the ice cream business. With its 12 product lines and about 70 articles, all of which are guaranteed to be produced exclusively using the very best raw materials and the highest quality fresh milk from the best local dairy farm, sales have widely expanded to foreign markets.
Gelateria Callipo’s factory occupies an area of 3200 square meters, and is characterized by the availability of high productivity high tech equipment, which allows an annual production of approximately 1500 tons of ice cream mix. The plant, with its four process lines, is prepared to meet all market and distribution requirements. The factory has an internal testing laboratory, equipped with sophisticated equipment and expert technical staff, which constantly and continuously monitors the products. Gelateria Callipo iscertified ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, BRC, and IFS.
