Giovanni L. looks back on a long tradition. The first Giovanni L. branch near Hanover opened as early as 1961. In 2006, the restaurateurs Sabine and Jörg Fischer realized a long-awaited dream of their own ice cream parlor and opened more Giovanni L. ice cream parlors in the North of Germany. In 2009 the company expanded into other European countries for the first time. In the years that followed, further Giovanni L. ice cream parlors opened internationally.

In addition to its own flagship stores, the Giovanni L. family includes over three hundred sales outlets from small to large.

Along with the successful franchise system with ice cream parlors and shop in shop stores, selling the twofold world champion mountain-gelato, Giovanni L. offers its gelato as a Cucina de Luxe product for gastronomy and food service partners as well as for selected retail partners.

From 2022 on Giovanni L. Gelato de Luxe will be available to a wider audience as a branded and private label retail product as we will have the ISO 22000-2018 certification.
