hupple is a brand with fun and unusual origins. What started out with a biscuit of superior quality, packed like coffee biscuits, is now a full range with semi-moist treats, baked biscuits and many other products, distributed in over 2000 stores and chains all over the world. hupple has become a respectable growing player as one of the few Belgian brands of dog biscuits.
Private label activities are put under a separate division, Your Pet Label, with a tailor-made vision and service. Nowadays, GOOD !D supplies to all the important private label players on the market. Since 2013, we have our own production in Brecht near Antwerp, where our Chef Koeks produce over a million treats every day.

Company's packaging eco-policy
ReduceReuseRecycle
For our hupple products we use very specific mono material.
In production, this material uses; 2.7x less energy, 1.6x less greenhouse gases and 17x less water, than paper. For example, a paper bag in the supermarket needs to be 43x re-used to breng the environmental impact to the same level as a plastic bag.
This material is recycable:
- Perfectly reusable as raw material, quality does not deteriorate (circular system)
- Recycling costs less energy than making new material and reduces CO2 emissions
- Recycling plastic uses 91% less energy than paper (pulp - bleaching - separating - pressing)
- Can be sorted with PMD (easy and clear for the consumer)
POLYPROPYLENE
is resistant to bacterial growth, stores moisture-free, fat-free and hygienically; thus reduces food waste, prevents migration of undesirable substances when packaging food, easy to grind into franules and reuse; unlike paper packaging with a (bio)plastic liner. Because such a liner cannot be easily separated, it is first partially burned off. This is not always clear to the end consumer: what at first sight appears to be a completely cardboard package often contains a grease or moisture-resistant liner. This is not only glued to the cardboard, but sometimes also simply injected into the cardboards.
Last but not least, no polluting or toxic ubstances are released during production or recycling.
In developing the packaging, we took into account the following factors:
1. Optimal and tasty preservation of the product (a challenge for semi-moist) in a food safe packaging
2. Visually attractive and clear for the customer; he can see the product through the transparent surface large enough to share all textual information
3. Environmentally conscious and easy to recycle (mono-material)
4. No polluting or toxic substances are released during production or recycling
5. Optimally stackable to take up as little space as possible during transport or on the shelf
6. We have reduced plastic where possible, e.g. the small 200g packs are made from a thinner material than the large ones, where more strength is required
