Gota, Lda started in 2010 in response to growing demand for Portuguese wines.

Portugal is writing a new chapter in its wine history, marrying rich tradition with modern thinking to produce fresh, flavoursome wines from its vast array of distinctive, characterful grape varieties.

Two associates, both with a professional background in the wine trade, one as a winemaker and the other as a supermarket wine buyer, combined their passion and knowledge to bring to the consumer the best that Portugal has to offer.

Our goal was to create and promote wines from the top winemaking regions in Portugal and make them available across the globe.

We are collectors, we search the country looking for treasures - the vineyards, the wines and the people - and choose the ones that we believe express the unique personality of each region: the pure soul of the place.

Now, we are proud to present a range of wines that shows the best of Portugal, at the best price. Gota means “drop”. We are a small drop of wine…for now.
