Halwany Consumer Products was founded by Chafic Halwany in 1921 in Beirut, Lebanon. During its early days, the company traded in fresh fruits and vegetables. Over time, the company started to import and distribute frozen, chilled and canned foods. 

Halwany Consumer Products distributes to retailers, wholesalers and food service businesses. At present, Halwany Consumer Products distributes to 4500 point of sales. 

Halwany Consumer Products founded a subsidiary, C Food International which is an off-shore company that produces, markets and distributes seafood products.

Halwany Consumer Products achieves an annual turnover of € 17.5 million and employs 28 people. 

Halwany Consumer Products offers products in the following categories:

• Savory Grocery: a wide range of canned products

• Chilled Food: an extensive range of chilled products

• Frozen Food: seafood, poultry, vegetables, etc.

Halwany Consumer Products distributes products from brands such as Sadia, Fonterra, Greens, Vitacuire, etc.

The company also developed its private labels:

• Siblou: a brand offering canned, frozen and chilled seafood products.

• Plein Soleil: a range of frozen vegetables, appetizers, canned foods, condiments, etc.

• Frumer: a brand of seafood products

• Lamesa: a brand of Lebanese gourmet foods in the frozen foods

Concerning the logistics, Halwany Consumer Products operates warehouses in Bchamoun. The business has a cold storage capacity of 15000 m3 and an ambient storage of 11000 m3. Furthermore, Halwany Consumer Products has a fleet of 40 refrigerated trucks which handle all deliveries.
