Our company is located in Ermioni Argolidos, on the Eastern edge of Peloponnese. The local area, Kranidi, is famous for its excellent quality extra virgin olive oil. You will be interested to learn that the European Community, in 1996, named Kranidi a Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O.).

The advantage of Kranidi’s olive oil is that it mainly comes from our local olive variety, named “manaki”. There are a lot of “manaki” trees older than 1000 years (the oldest 4000) still producing our gold liquid. “Manaki” olives produce a smooth tasting olive oil with an herbaceous aroma of the fresh olives and undertones of tropical fruits such as bananas. These characteristics distinguish our olive oil from most of the other Greek olive oils, as well as Italian and Spanish, which are spicy and bitter. Even though smooth taste is not a quality characteristic, it is a fact that most of the consumers prefer it over bitter and spicy taste.

The company was founded in 1970. As the market increased, it expanded and upgraded its facilities and machinery to meet the growing market demands. As the company expanded beyond the local market, clientele began to include national Supermarket chains.

Later on, the company underwent a complete renovation and modernization of all equipment and management and the clientele began to include international customers.

Our specialty at “Hermes” is the production of top quality olive oil and table olives, as well as the excellent collaboration with our customers. Our production includes two specific types of extra virgin olive oil, one type of pure olive oil, and one type of olive pomace oil. Apart from our top quality olive oil we also produce sixteen different types of table olives.
