Inditex Spain

Inditex Spain is a retailer which owns a range of fashion brands such as Zara. The company was founded in Spain in 1963 and is now known as the largest retailer in the fashion industry with 8 major brands. The company has set up 7447 stores across the world and also owns an online shop.

Inditex Spain has a team of 171000 employees and in 2018, the company achieved a turnover of € 26.1 billion. 

Inditex Spain’s own brands consist of:

• Zara - launched in 1975, this brand consists of trendy clothing and accessories for men, women and children. 

• Pull & Bear - this brand offers urban-style clothes and accessories which are heavily influenced by the US

• Massimo Dutti - this brand includes clothing for men, women and children as well as fragrances.

• Bershka - Bershka offers clothing and accessories as well as make up products.

• Stradivarius - this brand targets young people and offers a range of clothing, accessories and fragrances.

• Oysho - Oysho was established in 1977 and focuses solely on women's wear

• Uterque -  this clothing brand specialises in clothing, shoes and accessories for women

• Zara Home - This brand offers design and interior products for homes and include bed linen, tableware, decorations as well as comfortable clothing and accessories.

The company has partnered with 1824 suppliers and works with over 7200 factories throughout the world. 

To ensure that all regulations as respected, these factories and partners must abide by Inditex’s code of conduct which contains standards for human rights, labour rights, health and safety regulations and environmental aspects. The code of conduct is in line with international laws and conventions.

Inditex owns 10 logistic centres in Spain which are equipped with the latest technical gadgets and are sustainable. The company relies on external contractors for the distribution.

There are also 28 laboratories to test the various products to ensure that high standards  and quality are maintained.
