Italianissimo AB

Italianissimo AB is a Swedish importer, retailer and distributor of authentic Italian food products, headquartered in Lomma in the Skåne region of southern Sweden. The company was founded by Alvaro Eusepi, a food enthusiast who grew up in Rome, with the mission of bringing genuine, high-quality Italian delicacies to the Scandinavian market at reasonable prices.

The company imports Italian products directly and resells them through three of its own delicatessen stores in three different cities — Lomma, Lund and Malmö — operated through the group companies Italianissimo AB, Italianissimo Malmö AB and Italianissimo Lund AB. Alongside its own retail network, Italianissimo supplies specialist food retailers and a number of supermarkets across Sweden on a wholesale basis, and has more recently begun distributing to Denmark, there mainly to private consumers via e-commerce. Its webshop serves customers throughout Sweden and Denmark, and the business is complemented by event and catering activities built around Italian food culture.

The assortment covers the classic Italian delicatessen range: pasta, olive oils, sauces, cured meats and charcuterie, Italian cheeses, antipasti, coffee, confectionery and other specialty grocery items sourced from Italian producers.

Financially, the group of three companies together employs around 16 people and generates approximately 23-24 million SEK (roughly EUR 2.1 million) in annual sales; the parent company Italianissimo AB alone reported 24.4 MSEK in revenue with 9 employees in 2024, representing year-on-year sales growth of about 32%.

As a buyer, Italianissimo sources directly from Italian food manufacturers and consortia, looking for authentic regional products of high quality that it can introduce to Swedish and Danish consumers through its stores, webshop and wholesale channel. Its combination of own retail, e-commerce and B2B distribution makes it a niche but multi-channel gateway for Italian FMCG brands entering the Nordic market.
