Founded in 1966, Juustoportti has grown from a small Finnish dairy farm to a family business employing up to 300 people. We have branded products and are a strong private label partner too.

Juustoportti is a one stop shop for IFS-certified plant-based and dairy products and a specialist of lactose-free options. We produce various dairy alternatives, milk, cream, yogurt, butter, creme fraiche, artisan cheeses, protein drinks, chilled desserts.

New product groups have been developed such as chilled soups, vegan oat-products, an unsweetened product family without artificial sweeteners, organic options and products rich in protein. Friendly Viking's is Juustoportti's export brand launched in 2019 and is specialized in gluten-free vegan products made from premium Finnish oats. 

Several products have been awarded: our Friendly Viking's O'GURT Greek Styles was chosen as the best vegan yogurt alternative from PETA Germany this year (2022) and our artisan cheeses have won several awards internationally and nationally. 

Juustoportti's operations take place near the center of Lake Jalasjärvi, where the majority of products are manufactured. Juustoportti is one of the most modern companies in Finland in terms of production technology. The operations are based on continuous product development, high product quality and the high competence of the staff. In addition to these, bold but profitable investments are one of the cornerstones of Juustoportti's operations.

The specialty cheeses are made in a display cheese factory connected to Jalasjärvi traffic station. There, guests can watch cheese making in real surroundings.
