Established in 1999, Kam market is a retail chain in the Macedonian market.
The company operates 74 KAM stores across the country.
It employs around 850 employees and in 2020, its turnover amounted to €170 million.
It distributes its products to every supermarket chain across Macedonia which involves hard discounters.
The business provides various products under different categories such as:
- Savory grocery: pasta, rice, sandwich, etc.
- Sweet grocery: chocolate, cookies, cakes, etc.
- Frozen: Ice cream, fish, meat, etc.
- Fresh and chilled: Fruits, vegetables, salmon, etc.
- Dairy: milk, butter, cheese, etc.
- Drinks: soft drinks, juice, water, etc.
- Household: detergents, fabric softeners, cleaning products, etc.
- Personal care: facial care, hair care, body care, etc.
- Wine and spirits: wine, beer, vodka, etc.
30% of KAM products are private labels.
KAM market consistently focuses on the expansion of its own private label brands such as ‘Alpiko’ chocolates, ‘Fiesta’ black tea, ‘Blue Sea’ Hake fillets and many more.
It also has its own KAM bakery with always fresh and hot baked goods under its own brand KAM.
In 2022, the retail chain invested €12 million in a new logistics centre in Skopje and consists of its own department for food quality control.
