The name KOLIOS has been a synonym for excellent Greek Dairy products for more than 70 years. The company, which is located in northern Greece, in the Region of Macedonia, was founded in 1948, following a long family tradition of cheese-making.   KOLIOS S.A. holds today a leading position in Greek cheese & Yogurt production, increasing its growth every year.

Excellent raw material and advanced production procedures ensure the excellent quality of KOLIOS products.  The quality management system implemented by the company is certified according to the strictest international standards: ISO 22000, ISO 9001:2015, BRC, IFS, also AGROCERT and BIO HELLAS.

KOLIOS produces a wide variety of Greek cheeses and yogurts, suitable for every demand. The quality commitment of KOLIOS has been decorated by winning numerous prestigious quality awards.

KOLIOS products are exported to 55 countries, to Europe, USA, Australia, Middle East, Africa, Asia and have gained a prominent position in the shelves of some of the biggest retail stores worldwide.  

Reduce plastic and increase biodegradable packaging materials for cheese and dairy products.  We at KOLIOS produce dairy products of the highest quality and excellent taste. We operate based on a strong quality commitment, focusing on the needs and expectations of consumers worldwide. We use plastic packaging to protect our products, to keep our products fresh and safe.  At the same time, we’re finding new and innovative ways to reduce our usage by reducing the plastic amount and using recyclable materials. We encourage our suppliers to use environmentally friendly materials and practices and we are helping our clients to recycle too.  Aiming to reduce our impact on the environment, we  * have already replaced the PVDC from all our films to eliminate the detrimental impact on the environment. * have minimised and redesigned the plastic content of the package in some products, by ensuring simultaneously their optimal mechanical specifications. * are examining all our suppliers' new propositions – e.g, new multi-layer films in the base of the same mono-polymers. * are currently packing a few of our products in biodegradable film. * are using carton boxes with sleeves made of FSC 100% paper, a 100% recyclable material.   Progressively we have set specific goals per packaging line to measure the waste impact of our products.  Going forward, our initiatives and ambitions are set out on certain timelines to further improve our packaging.
