Kosik

Kosik is an online supermarket which was established in 2015. Its headquarters is based in Prague, Czech Republic. The company offers Czech customers a wide range of specialty foods and eco-drugs that can be delivered at doorstep. 

Moreover, in the food and personal care market in Czech Republic, Kosik accounts for around 15% of net sales. 

In the financial year 2020, Kosik achieved a turnover of € 49.2 million and currently employs over 190 people. 

Furthermore, the company offers a wide assortment of products in the following categories: 

• Chilled & fresh food: meat, seafood, ready meals, etc. 
• Frozen: sausages, waffles, bacon, etc. 
• Sweet grocery: chocolates, sugar, cereal bars, etc. 
• Savoury grocery: rice, pasta, pulses, etc. 
• Dairy: milk, cheese, yoghurts, etc. 
• Drinks: fizzy drinks, juices, energy drinks, etc. 
• Wine & spirits: wines, beers, whiskeys, etc.  
• Personal care: soaps, lip balms, deodorants, etc. 
• Household: toilet papers, detergents, plastic bin bags, etc. 

Brands such as Arax, Aquafresh, Bonduelle, Chivas Regal, Ferrero Rocher, Vogue, Shelma, Protex, Mirabell, Malva, K-Bio, etc, are endorsed by the firm. Besides, Kosik also offers bio, natural, vegetarian, vegan and organic products as well. 

Moreover, the company developed its own brand under the name “Kosik” which encompasses almost all product categories. 

Pertaining to its logistics solutions, Kosik operates a temperature-controlled warehouse of 12,000 square metres where more than 16,000 references are stored. Moreover, the firm owns a fleet of vehicles which ensures delivery. 

With regards to sustainability, the business announced that it will be working with the Czech company MIWA, a technology system designed to reduce packaging and food waste production. 

Furthermore, in 2020, Kosik announced that it will be building a large kitchen through which pasteurised food will be delivered across the country. 

Additionally, the enterprise entered into an agreement with Kaufland in order to sell selected Kaufland private label products on its website in 2020.
