La Compagnie Du Rhum was founded in 2008 by two rum aficionados,Philippe De Pompignan and Marika Froment. The company was first located in Guadeloupe before moving to Martinique.

La Compagnie Du Rhum has an online shop where it sells around 1000 quality rums and it also has a showroom in Habitation du Simon, a well-known location.

The company offers a wide range of rums from Australia, Japan, Africa, USA, Italy, Brazil and many more countries.

In 2016, the company achieved a turnover of €750000. It sells its products to bars as well as individual customers.
