Introduction
Magrini was founded in 1978. For over 40 years it has been producing pesto sauce and quality toppings, inspired by the values of the Italian culinary tradition, innovating itself over the years, upgrading its production technology without ever losing the link with the past.
The perfect combination between the use of selected ingredients, the accuracy in processing, the forefront facilities and the competence of the staff offer a unique product.
Furthermore, all the ingredients and the finished products are subjected to continuous rigid control in order to ensure the highest standard in hygiene safety and to maintain the best quality parameters.
The company is highly specialized in the production of "Genoese pesto", but also produces other great toppings to satisfy the countless demands of customers, and is working with intense commitment to the realization of new products.
Our history
The company was founded in 1978 starting an idea by Cesare Magrini. He was married to a Genoese whose parents ran a popular restaurant in Cornigliano in the 30s and was a great lover of Italian cuisine and in particular of the "Genoese Pesto". Because of its gastronomic experience, he decided to start producing handmade pesto sauce, employing high quality ingredients, and so founding the company "Magrini le Delizie".
After a few years, he decided to offer its customers new products, maintaining the usual quality and starting also the production of various artisanal food sauces that immediately had a great success on the market.
In the early years, the working process was done by craft machinery that, with the year passang by, made it difficult to respond to the increasing market requirements.
Therefore, in the following years, thanks to continued demand from customers who have contributed to the growth of the company, new production lines and new machinery have been adopted, in order to make it possible to increase the number of references and types of product packaging.
The history of the family continues with the changeover of management to Carla and Alessandro Vagli, Cesare Magrini daughter and son-in-law, always beside him in the running of the company. By their side, Alessandra, the granddaughter of the founder. With the support of a qualified and competent management and a highly knowledgeable and experienced production staff, they are the spokesmen of the new corporate vision. All the activities from the selection of raw materials to the processing and sale strive towards one goal: to ensure the safety and quality of products offered. A choice that enabled the company to have major contracts with Italian and European customers and to overlook to relevant non-EU markets.
Although the adoption of new technologies over the years, production has still remained faithful to the traditions to preserve the flavors of the past.
Recently, the company has achieved great goals, such as the moving to the its current location. The company works with owned facilities, which are spread over a large production area and storage, for a useful total area of more than 3000 square meters.
The new factory and cutting-edge technological systems can guarantee both absolute attention to sanitation standards both high production standards, but always in full respect to tradition. Currently, the management is scheduling new structural and plant improvements that will enable a further increase in production and an improvement in product quality to go further and meet the needs of the customer and enhance consumer satisfaction.
Our products
The distinctive feature of our production is avoiding the use of additives or preservatives, as much as possible. The lack or in some cases the minimal use of additives makes the products very tasty, just as the classic homemade products.
Each product has its "identity card", a detailed data sheet, describing accurately the specific features, such as the guarantees and the type of packaging, with any details about treatment.

Our certifications
After being certified for many years according to the 9001, in 2016 the company has taken a further step towards the objective of food security, achieving BRC (British Retail Consortium) and IFS (International Food Standard) certifications
In addition, the company has the following authorizations:
- Inclusion of products in the AIC Food (Italian Celiac Association), gluten-free products
- Production of organic pesto Genovese (EC Regulation 834/2007)
- Use of the label "with Genovese Basil PDO" (protected denomination of origin)
Recently, vegan products have reached VeganOK certification as a guarantee of the absence of animal parts in the vegan products.
