La Maison d'Armorine
La Maison d’Armorine is the highly successful product of Raymond and Yvonne Audebert, the young couple who invented the salted caramel recipe or salidou, and the coveted Niniches, these popular lollipops with 29 different caramel flavors, listed in the French culinary heritage . Founded in 1946 shortly after the World War II in Quibéron, a resort city on the Breton shore, Maison d’Armorine’ s mission was to remind tense and grieving citizens of the sweet things in life.
Their signature salty-sweet combination secret lies in natural ingredients and the preservation of traditional manufacture process such as copper cauldrons.
Nowadays, Maison d’Armorine is still led by M. and Mme. Audebert’s grandson and unites a number of local artisans.
