Dino Polska S.A. is a leading Polish retail company specializing in mid-sized grocery supermarkets under the Dino brand. Founded in 1999 by Tomasz Biernacki in western Poland, the chain has expanded nationwide, operating stores primarily in medium and small-sized towns as well as on the peripheries of larger cities. As of the end of 2024, Dino operated 2,688 stores across Poland with a total sales area of 1,061,200 m², achieving revenues of PLN 29.3 billion (approximately €6.8 billion).
Dino supermarkets offer around 5,000 different articles, focusing on food products such as meat, poultry, cold cuts, fruit and vegetables, bread, dairy, beverages, snacks, frozen goods, and condiments. Each store features a meat counter with products supplied by the company's owned Agro-Rydzyna meat plant, where Dino has been the sole distributor since 2010. The assortment also includes non-grocery items like cleaning agents, cosmetics, pet food, and seasonal products, with an emphasis on everyday essentials for local communities.
The company's logistics network supports its rapid growth through three main distribution centers located in Krotoszyn, Jastrowie, Piotrków Trybunalski, and Rzeszotory. Dino is publicly traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (ticker: DNP) since 2017, employing nearly 50,000 people in Poland. In 2023, it opened 250 new stores, reaching 2,406 locations by year-end, and by 2024, it covered all 16 Polish voivodeships.
Sustainability efforts include equipping 92% of stores with photovoltaic installations totaling 98.9 MW capacity, generating 86.6 GWh of solar energy. Dino positions itself as one of Poland's fastest-growing grocery chains in the proximity retail segment, appealing to suppliers with its extensive network, stable demand for food and beverage products, and focus on fresh and local offerings.Stores operate daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., headquartered in Krotoszyn.
