Our Family Enterprise was founded in 1934 in Gehlenberg, county Cloppenburg (Lower Saxon). Ever since it is run by Family Meemken - now in the 3rd generation. However, despite all traditions, a new age began for us: In January 2007 our company buildings burned down to the ground. We understoood this as chance to begin anew and 2008 we resumed production in our newly build factory and office buildings. The new production plant is one of the most modern plants in Europe. This opens up new possibilities in terms of product quality and security, as well as in growth of sales. Since 2008 we are certified for IFS (Internation Food Standard) and since 2009 we are certified by the Islamic center in Munich. We work more client oriented and flexible, since the new fully-automated high rack warehouse more options than ever before opened up for us. We are looking forward to show you our capabilities in the future.

Ecologically motivated Thanks to modern production facilities and our own biogas plant, the environmental impact of our company has been significantly reduced in recent years. The biogas plant is operated exclusively with waste from food production. Thus, no further raw materials from valuable arable land are required for energy generation. The result is impressive: The heat released is used in the company and the electricity is fed into the public grid. In total, the energy production is far in excess of the company's own requirements.
