Founded in 1995 by Harilaos Kavvadias, Megaplast is a supplier of a complete range of innovative packaging materials. Based in Greece, the company is involved in the development, manufacturing, marketing, etc, of original customer-driven superior packaging solutions.

The company has a privately owned facility in Crete. Additionally, it also has several subsidiaries, such as Megaplast UK, Megaplast USA, Megaplast Italia, Megaplast Spain, and Megaplast Verpackunsinnovationnen based in Germany. The research and development centres are found in Marousi, Athens, and Greece. 

With around 111 employees, the business achieved a turnover of € 32.49 million. 

Megaplast was awarded the bronze medal in 2019 for Packaging Innovation of Megaplast Fiber Film Product as well as the Green Certificate for Megaplast’s factory energy coming from renewable resources. Moreover, the business was also awarded Diamonds of the Greek Economy in 2018 and 2019, Best Performing Companies in 2018 and 2019, and many more. 

Several products are offered by Megaplast such as FiberFilm, AirOFilm, Environmental Footprint, etc. 

The business has several certifications such as Certification of Green Label Palet 2020 (PRS), Certificate of Achievement for Calculated CO2 emissions of Fiber Films & AirOfilms, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and many more. 

Concerning logistics, the firm’s warehouses are locally based in Greece as well as internationally based in Uk, Italy, Spain, etc. The local distributor network is spread across Europe, USA, Canada, etc. 

Regarding the environment, the company aims to integrate sustainability in its business dealings and released the 1st edition of our Sustainability Brochure for 2020. It also aims to achieve the UN SGDs every 6 months. Furthermore, the products are 100% recyclable. Megaplast has also made a great double donation to the National Emergency Center of Crete Greece.
