Established In 1982, Metro Cyprus is a supermarket chain headquartered in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Today, the business operates 6 stores across the country. 

Metro Cyprus achieves an annual turnover of more than €55 million and currently employs 281 people.  

 It offers a variety of products under different categories such as: 

• Sweet grocery: Chocolate, cookies, waffles, etc.
• Savory grocery: Bread, pasta, rice etc.
• Fresh and chilled: Fruits, meat, vegetables, etc.
• Frozen: Seafood, vegetables, ready made pizzas, etc.
• Dairy: Milk, yogurt, cheese, etc.
• Drinks: Soft drinks, juice, water, etc.
• Household: Detergents, kitchen towels, toilet paper, etc.     
•  Personal care: Conditioner, shampoo, dental care, etc.
• Wine and spirits: Liqueur, Beer, Wine, etc. 

It is ISO 22000 certified and since 2004, it has implemented the HACCP system to ensure quality, hygienic, safe food and drinks for its customers.

Metro invests in the community by celebrating Metro world animal day and collecting as much food as possible to donate it to the shelters across the country.   

When it concerns sustainability, the business is committed to eradicate the use of plastic bags and make use of eco-friendly bags. It also produces its own fruits and vegetables in its farm in Limassol.
