Settled in the very heart of Andalusia, the Subbetica mountains in Cordoba, we produce traditionally with the patience and care that a great Extra Virgin Olive Oil requires. Olive Oil is one of the most exquisite products you can enjoy. Not only its flavour, but also its culinary and nutritional conditions make it unique. Over 70 years ago Mr. Muela Mateo Velasco, founder of our company, decided that the future of olive oil was in the perseverance of the tradition, rather than massed production. Priego de Cordoba is located on a fertile plain at the foot of the Sierras Subbéticas. Closely related to the outline of its terrain and the most traditional farming of the region, the mountains and the olive dominate the landscape. The Muela Oil Mill has an unique and exclusive system that allows the extraction of oil without any water or heat input during the process. This preserves each and everyone of the attributes of the olive oil.

0 WATER RESOURCES Our olive grove is grown on non-irrigated land so it does not consume water resources. We don't add water to our process.We are part of less than not wash the oil with water. Instead of it, we decant and filter, thus to the methods used by most mills! 5% of olive oil mills that do saving millions of liters of water compared to the methods used by most mills!. We promote responsible production and the circular economy. Our facilities are adapted with the latest technology to produce the least environmental impact. We have stopped emitting 315.3 tCO2 a year into the atmosphere or the equivalent of planting 15,762 trees. Our solar panels provide us with 35% of our energy needs. Our goal is to reach 50% by 2025. Olive oil corresponds to 20% of the olive. What do we do with the remaining 80%? Reuse it! The olive pit is reused as biofuel (we use part of it for own heating needs, and we sell the additional part) The remaining mass is called “alperujo” and we use it to produce bio fertilizer
