Nepal Dog Treat

Nepal Dog Treat (NDT) specializes in the production of dog chew treats made from hard cheese. Known in the industry as "yak chews." NDT's product raw material (Chhurpi) is sourced from artisan Himalayan dairy farmers whose cheesemaking uses a traditional recipe consisting of yak and cow milk, lime juice, and salt. The ingredients and curing process produce a hard and durable cheese that is all-natural, nearly lactose-free, rich in protein, low in fat, and can healthily satisfy a dog's natural chewing habit for hours on end. 

NDT is comprised of two firms connected by friends and family: Nepal Dog Treat LLC located near Washington D.C., USA and Global Dog Chew Pvt. Ltd. located in Kathmandu, Nepal.  The principals are Barry Blackburn, a former software engineer, and Govinda Banjade, an education consulting executive.  NDT’s highest priorities are product quality and customer service. Our production facility in Nepal is GFSI compliant, having achieved FSSC 20000 certification in January 2021. Our US-Nepali integrated team has over seven years of experience in crafting dog chew products from yak's cheese. We have complete supervision and control over sourcing, production, quality inspection, and distribution.  NDT is well positioned to deliver this very popular product in large volumes of the highest quality.
