Founded in 1923, Novo Nordisk is a global pharmaceutical company which is headquartered in Bagsvaerd, Denmark. 

Regarding its distribution channels, it supplies at least 170 countries which comprises pharmacies, health care shops, clinics,hospitals, etc.

The business operates in 80 offices around the world, including 16 production facilities in 9 countries such as China, France, Japan, Russia, Denmark, Algeria, Brazil, the US, Algeria and many more as well as 10 research centers in five countries like India, China, Denmark, the UK and the US.

Moreover, in 2021, it achieved a turnover of €20.1 billion and it currently employs more than 50,000 employees.

Novo Nordisk provides a selection of products in the personal care category like medicines, pens and needles, supplements, etc.

It has a broad range of disposable pre-filled pens which are durable and replaceable insulin cartridges for diabetes treatment to meet the specific needs of its customers. 

Furthermore, it is noteworthy that over 34 million people use the company’s diabetes care products and it also conducts clinical trials in more than 50 countries.  

Until now, Novo Nordisk has produced over 600 million insulin pens. In addition, 50% of the world’s insulin pens are produced and supplied by the firm.
