Established in 1995, Equanto is proudly an 100% Portuguese family-owned company, now managed by the 2nd generation, and a pioneer in the distribution of organic and vegetarian products in Portugal.

From humble beginnings, we have grown to become the leading supplier of Healthy Foods in Portugal, evolving from pure distribution to production. 

Today, we produce more than 100 sku's.

We have two own brands, Origens Bio, the leading brand of organic Food in Portugal and also Veggis, specilized in Food Solutions for vegetarians , vegans and flexitarians.

We are also experienced in Private Label, developing Taylor Made Solutions for our clients, translating, formulating and delivering products and concepts with precision and speed. Located in Arruda dos Vinhos, located north of Lisbon, our modern factory has the highest international accreditations for food safety, being certified for IFS FOOD, ORGANIC/BIO (ECOCERT) and  GLUTEN FREE.

All aspects of our operation are regularly audited to ensure the highest quality standards are being maintained.

Equipment and facilities have been planned and implemented to allow us to address a wide range of operations.

We source high quality raw materials from suppliers based around the world and we have full traceability on the ingredients we use. 

We are fully equipped to extrude, tumble, mix, and blend.
