Pandea is a dynamic company, continually looking for high quality products, to satisfy the needs of all consumers, coeliac sufferers or not, with a continually expanding range of products. The experience acquired over the years together with the healthiness of gluten-free products represent an added value to the products created for people with gluten intolerance. The aim and duty the company has taken on is that of always obtaining the best in terms of quality, wellbeing and flavour. Its products are the witness to this. andea originated as an individual concern in July 1946 by initiative of an entrepreneur from Parma, who, keen supporter of dietetics as an applied science, based production on three fundamental principles:
QUALITY
production and technological RENOVATION
SENSITIVITY towards the active evolution of the market
Production included bakery products, namely breadsticks, crackers, toasted slices, tin loaf, various pastry products (panettone, Easter cake, jam tarts, croissants), in all the forms that could satisfy the needs of the market at the time. Back then, Pandea was already pursuing the idea of creating products that could become a valid and modern alternative to bread, both in flavour and quality. In 1970, Pandea was purchased by the Chiari & Forti group, a key company in the post-war boom of Italian oils (thanks to products such as Topazio oil, with its innovative tin, and in 1959, Cuore oil, which later went on to be the absolute market leader). During this time, besides this first partnership, the merger with Quaker Oats, the American Cereal Company with the smiling Quaker trademark, symbol of quality and honesty, was completed and brought with it the know-how of a multinational with great experience in cereal products. The Malgara Chiari & Forti Group is today the heir to this heritage, owning one of the most emblematic and recognised Italian food brands in any category: from fresh pasta to CALDO CALDO and naturally Pandea, with its more than sixty years of tradition in oven baked products.
