Paramount 21

In 1988, Ali Hannaford was 27 years old and out of work. Her father’s seafood processing business where she was an employee had been bought by a larger company but was closed down shortly afterwards. This was the year that Ali founded Paramount 21.

Initial investment involved a bundle of second hand machinery, £3500 and a great deal of faith in the future. With packing prawns a thing of the past, Ali and her team developed Paramount’s range, crafting fantastic fishcakes and value-added seafood products headed for the Foodservice industry.
