Piada d’Oro was established in 1992 in a small lab on the Adriatic Riviera, area of Romagna. The activities were started by two friends who, together with their mothers, perfected the recipe to supply hotels and restaurants of the area of Cattolica with the typical bread from Romagna. With time, the tourists- guests of the hotels- have started to appreciate and buy the product more and more, so that to spread it also out of Romagna taking the product home in their own places of origin. In 1996 Augusta’s son decided, together with other partners, to establish the new Piada d’Oro which has maintained the same characteristics of handicraft and respect for tradition and culture. Nowadays the organization of Piada d’Oro permits to safeguard a constant quality of the product, to check the genuineness of raw materials, to follow carefully each processing step keepingat the same time a high productive capacity. Piada d’Oro boasts among its clients both the best big distribution Italian and foreign chains, and the typical small country shop including in that way an ever increasing number of customers.Transforming piadina from “ the bread of poor people” into “ our daily bread”: this is Piada d’Oro main goal in the context of a company policy of continuous improvement.
