Plukon Food Group has thirteen branches across the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, of which eight are poultry slaughterhouses and five are processing and packaging companies. With a weekly slaughter volume of over 6,8 million chickens, Plukon is one of the largest European players on the market for poultry meat.Turnover of 1.265 million euros was achieved in 2012 and we provide employment to over 4100 people. The Friki brand has existed since 1964, well before Plukon Food Group was established. Plukon supplies products to the retail channel in both the Netherlands and Germany under the Friki brand. In 1978 Friki merged with the poultry company Bekebrede in Barneveld and thus Plukon was born, taking its name from PLUimvee KOmbinatie Nederland (poultry combination of the Netherlands). In 2010 the company division selling high-quality cooked products to customers in the food service and industry channel became independent under the name Plukon Convenience. This division uses the Friki brand. We want to be the most knowledge-driven, flexible, efficient and innovative producer of poultry meat in Europe. Plukon Food Group is the knowledge centre in the field of poultry meat and we want to grow further in this context: in quality, capacity and yield.
