Primor Group brief presentation

Primor Group, a family-run multinational, consists of a group of companies whose goal is to deliver excellent products to consumers, clients, and partners. 

With over 55 years of experience, Primor Group is a holding of a group of companies dedicated to the pork meat business, from animal breeding, slaughtering, butchering sale of pork meat, until the processing and sale of delicatessens. 

Primor Group operates in Portugal, Spain, and Angola and its clients could be found in more than 35 countries worldwide. 

The Group has more than 850 employees, and the revenues go up to 140M€ what makes us one of the largest in the meat sector in Portugal.

Primor Charcuterie Company

Primor is the oldest and most widely recognized company of Primor Group. 

The company was founded in 1961 by Joaquim Moreira Pinto as a 100% Portuguese company, specializing in the processing and marketing of charcuterie products. Today it’s a stable and modern company with a strong team of employees, customers, and partners, which all together form Primor Family.

Headquarters of the company located in north Portugal and nowadays family tradition continues to grow, passing from generation to generation the secrets of the art of charcuterie.

Recognized for the high quality of the products and excellent customer service, Primor is present in the most diverse distribution sectors: retail, modern distribution and professional channels. Primor works at the end of the range, transforming the best meat into charcuterie products, capable of satisfying and surprising the customers. Currently, its portfolio of products includes, besides pork, a strong range of poultry charcuterie. 

One of our biggest advantages is our ability to adapt products to customers’ needs, together with the highest food safety standards, endorsed by several international certifications. That's why private label represents 50% of our production.  This is only possible thanks to the large experience acquired through 50 years of presence at the most demanding markets, national and internationally. 

Today the products of the company can be found not only in the Portuguese market but also in such markets as Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Luxembourg, that is a great testament to the quality of Primor products.
