The company was founded in 1989 with the name of QUESERÍAS VILLAMAYOR, which will later change its name to the actual one: DE LA HUZ GRIMALDOS INDUSTRIAS LÁCTEAS S.L

DE LA HUZ GRIMALDOS is a small company, with 30 years of continuous activity in the sector of the food industry, dedicated exclusively to the development of cheeses in their different degrees of maturation (tender, semi-cured, cured and aged) with milk mainly from Manchega,Sheep`s milk as well as milk from other animal species such as Goat and Cow, used for the blend products and other specialities, with two variants of the process: cheeses from pasteurized milk or raw milk, both in semi-hard pressed paste and long maturation periods. Being its star product the Pasteurized Manchego Cheese Protected Designation of Origin (P.O.D.) made with milk from sheeps of certified manchega breed.

Previously, improvements have been made in the facilities for personnel processes or flows, but the great extension has being the creation of a new working area, in an independent building.

Since 2018, the company has two different working sites, which encompass the entire production process, both in Villamayor de Santiago, Cuenca, Spain
