Real Sabor-alfredo Da Silva Barbosa

In 1959, Alfredo Barbosa left his rural farming life to start working in Oporto.

Having seen his Portuguese grandmother cure meats at her farm in north Portugal, Alfredo Barbosa, at that time a newly arrived young boy in Oporto, started out his own business carrier as a butcher.

He began to salt and smoke some traditional Portuguese pig meat he was rearing at grandmother’s Farm.

Today, the family operates one of the pioneers traditional Portuguese charcuterie companies best known for its “ Chouriços  Tradicionais “
