Established in 1994, Rema 1000 Denmark is a soft-discount grocery chain headquartered in Horsens, Denmark. The company is wholly-owned by the Norwegian conglomerate, Reitangruppen. 

It consists of more than 350 stores across Denmark and operates with more than 14,000 employees.   

The business offers a variety of products under different categories such as:

• Sweet grocery: Waffles, chocolate, candy, etc. 
• Savory grocery: Wheat sandwich, spaghetti, cooking oil, etc.

In 2022, the firm was recognised by ‘Sustainable brand index’ as the leader of Denmark’s most sustainable brand, for the second year in a row.
