Romar is an Italian producer of artisan quality sliced bread, offering ad hoc solution to local and international brands by skillfully combining the FLEXIBILITY of artisan production with the high PRODUCTIVITY offered by industrial processes. Besides producing bespoke solutions for our partners, we also offer a selection of 23 Semenzato branded bread products. All Semenzato products are available in all the major supermarkets.
The history of Semenzato begins in 1890 in Zelarino, on the outskirts of Venice, where Angelo started to make bread using a wood-fired oven. In 2002, the artisanal family business became an automated bread manufacturing company. RO.MAR. s.r.l. was established by Silvestro, the father, and by his sons and daughter Roberto, Marco and Vania Semenzato. All the activities involved in the production of tramezzini bread and sliced bread are performed in our 10000 m2 facility in Olmo Martellago (VE), which boasts one of the first natural leavening system in Italy.
The company joined a private equity fund to increase productivity and boost economic growth.
This made our production facility grow and a new production plant for tramezzini bread was added.
