By the year 2000, we transitioned into industrial production, pushing our boundaries and scaling our production capacity from a humble 1-2 tons to an impressive hundred tons every month. As a result, we were able to process a remarkable 300 tons per month, setting the stage for our ascent in the industry.
In 2007, we embarked on a pioneering venture, introducing our first gluten-free pasta to the market. Motivated by a vision to provide healthy and high-quality pasta made entirely from corn at an affordable price, we focused on the overall health benefits of corn pasta, capturing the attention of health-conscious consumers.
The year 2008 witnessed another significant stride as we expanded the production capacity of our corn mill to an astounding 500 tons per day, solidifying our position as the largest corn mill in Eastern Europe at that time.
A momentous achievement came in 2010 when Sam Mills penetrated the American market, marking a historic milestone for Romanian pasta brands. We not only established a strong presence in the private label industry in the USA but also expanded our reach to the markets of the US, Australia, and Europe.
In 2018, driven by our commitment to excellence, we introduced new recipes for a novel type of pasta, demonstrating our continuous efforts to enhance the quality of our products. Our focus is not just on staying relevant but on being more competitive and profitable in our target market.
Fast forward to 2023, a year of transformation for Sam Mills. Under new ownership, we unveiled a new brand identity that encapsulates our commitment to healthy living and low environmental impact through an ecological approach.
