The company was founded in 1952 in Japan. Nowadays, SARAYA is present in many countries of Asia, Africa, Europe, and in the USA. The company employs more than 2 000 people and sales for 50 billion of yen  (2019).

As the world's population continues to grow and economic development improves the standard of living in many countries, the sustainability of natural resources is a real challenge.

SARAYA aligns its goals with the Sustainable Development Goals of United Nations (SDg)- protecting the environment by using sustainable resources and packaging that reduces waste.

Our mission & strategy on Sustainability is : 1.Circular economy – we aim to become sustainable and in tune with the issue of environmental resources. 2. Natural ingredients – we prioritize the usage of natural and completely biodegradable ingredients. For this purpose, we created our own surfactant based on fermentation of sugar, yeast and vegetable oil. 3. No plastic – we aim to reduce de usage of plastic. In B2C all our new products will be produced in sustainable and recyclable packaging. We prioritise the usage of bioplastic, glass, aluminium, stone paper. 4. Fair Trade - we aim to support small business by sourcing raw materials and packaging from small companies. Thus, providing them with fair wages and better working conditions. 5. Science – we aim to produce truly innovative products. We drive consumer and customer satisfaction with our best-in-class product development. 6. Aesthetics – many of our products were awarded by THE GOOD DESIGN.
