Sartirano Figli Cantine E Vigneti Sas
The Sartirano family has been in the wine business since 1871; the present owners, cousins Paolo and Guido, represent the third generation. They own estates in the famous Langhe region, where the most well-known Piemonte wines, Barolo and Barbaresco, are produced, specifically in the villages of Monforte d'Alba, Novello and Barolo. Costa di Bussia in Monforte d'Alba is the most prestigious estate, with 15 hectares completely facing south and south-west where we grow Nebbiolo da Barolo grapes for the production of our best single vineyard selection and Riserva. Other owned estates are located in the villages of Barolo, Novello and Barbaresco where we grow Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo da Barbaresco grapes. Further more we buy grapes and wines from parent and partner wineries in the Monferrato region, in the Roero region and in the Gavi di Gavi area, we have long term contract with that farmes on a exclusivity basis. For now grapes are vinificated in Costa di Bussia that will be soon supported by the new 5,000 square metres winery we are building in the village of Novello. 10 kilometres away from properties, in the village of Narzole we have a 2,500 metres warehouse, total capacity 12,000 hectoliters, 4,000 bottles/hour bottling line, and 12 employees. In total we sell 1.2 million bottles of wine per year, 80% in export to all European countries (main markets are Switzerland, Germany, Uk, and Austria) to the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and Duty Free shops in the Pacific area.
