Science & Mer

The Science et Mer Laboratories were founded in Finistère in 1986 and have since fed on the confidence of the potential of marine algae to develop more than 350 cosmetic formulas. While specialising in the supply of marine cosmetics for thalassotherapy, spa and wellness centres, a turning point came in 2016 with the acquisition of the brand by two Breton partners. Convinced that the entire seawed industry must be connected to contemporary issues and meet the challenges of tomorrow, the two entrepreneurs oriented the Science & Mer brand towards an ethical and responsible approach. 

To rejuvenate and sublimate women's beauty, Science & Mer draws on its expertise in three areas 

SCIENCE:

through biotechnology that reflects the cutting- edge expertise of Science & Mer. For more than 30 years, the company has been working on the research and selection of the most promising minerals and plants able to restore the skin's balance and its original beauty. 

In collaboration with the faculties of medicine and pharmacy, the laboratories produced, thanks to the biotechnology process, a patented anti-ageing active ingredient "marine Isopeptinoside®", whose composition is close to that of amniotic fluid, source of life. 

ORIGIN:

Brittany's coastline, its Iroise Sea, an inexhaustible source of algae and marine active where Science & Mer draws its effectiveness. Although beauty keeps its secrets, high technology manufactu- ring techniques, the source, must be transparent. Science & Mer carries an ethical and ecological commitment on its methods and products. 

WELL-BEING:

Thanks to its soft, light, silky and penetrating tex- tures, its discreet perfumes and its skincare range accessible to all skin types, women's expecta- tions are met by the sobriety and performance of Science & Mer cosmetics.
