SPANOS S.A. is a producer and supplier of dry rice products based in Greece. The company is active since 1993.In 2001 expanded its activities in the rice milling sector by establishing a new, technologically advanced facility for milling and parboiling of rice. The headcounters and factory is located in the area of Thessaloniki, where the major volume of the annual Greek crop is cultivated. Our products are exported to the most of the countries of Europe and Middle East and originate from the Thessaloniki valley rice fields. Our products is non genetically modified, meeting the European Union standards for food safety and Hygiene. The company has established a strong network of about 500 suppliers - rice farmers for the purchase of the raw material (paddy rice) and operates on the basis of contracts with the rice farmers for the rice cultivation. The clients of the company include super market chains, wholesalers, food industry, catering. Our principal of function is based on business ethical values and our commercial policy is served optimally by establishing long term transaction relationships, by being a trustworthy counterparty in the supply chain. Our team of people, in selection of the grain from the field, in production and milling, execution of the order, administration and management, is there to promptly respond to the request of our counterparties, buyers or suppliers, to work for the best outcome.
