Beer producer "SVYTURYS-UTENOS ALUS" unites 2 breweries: 

Svyturys Brewery in the port of Klaipeda is the oldest in Lithuania. In 2018 it was renovated and turned into a craft beer brewery and hub. New craft brewery opened under the Brooklyn Brewery’s wing, when we joined forces with this iconic US craft beer producer.            Utenos Alus brewery in Utena town is the largest and most modern brewery in the Baltic States. Proud to be the market leader in Lithuania (40% of market share) for over two decades and the brewery which brewed the 1st lager beer Svyturys EKSTRA became the staple and the pride of the Lithuanian brewing industry. Our breweries produce huge variety of premium beers, craft beers, flavored beers and ciders. Many of our beers are worldwide awarded at the most famous and prestigious world beer championships. Svyturys EKSTRA lager beer was awarded by golden medal 4 times during 2001 - 2021. The production is exported to 5 continents and more than 20 countries worldwide. "SVYTURYS-UTENOS ALUS" is also seen as the pioneer of beer culture development in Lithuania. Over the past couple of decades, we have created numerous, both legendary and experimental, flavors of beer, while also proving that it can be the front-runner when paired with food, rather than the other way around. Since 2008, we are a part of Carlsberg Group and share its victories and achievements together.

„Svyturys-Utenos alus “has been promoting responsible approach to employees and production process, community and planet. We aim to produce and supply our products in an environmentally friendly manner, promote responsible consumption, ensure work safety to the highest standards. In 2022, together with Carlsberg Group, „Svyturys-Utenos alus “joined global launch of new sustainability program, Together Towards ZERO and Beyond (TTZAB). With TTZAB we aspire to achieve net zero carbon emissions across the entire value chain by 2040. Since 2019, Utenos Alus brewery was officially granted Carbon Neutral status. The brewery uses only renewable energy sources, our production is carried out without polluting the atmosphere with added carbon dioxide. „Svyturys-Utenos alus “has been striving to reduce the CO2 footprint in different fields, reducing harmful use of plastic being among most important. Every year more attention is paid to reduction of plastic raw materials, and the increase of percentage of recycle, the overall impact of the packaging on the environment. The main technological solutions are aimed at reducing the amount of plastic itself: in cooperation with suppliers, production is switching to increasingly lighter PET preforms, caps and thinner films. It is estimated that from 2019 applying through various sustainability solutions, „Svyturys-Utenos alus “yearly managed to reduce the amount of plastic used, by more than 140 tons. The company was the first in Lithuania which introduced 100% recycled PET plastic, called rPET. It is expected that the innovation will reduce the emission of primary PET plastic by almost 100 tons in yearly, by replacing it with used plastic.
