Ter Beke

Originating in the Belgian town of Lievegem, Ter Beke started in 1948 as a producer of processed meat. Over time, this  family business grew and has diversified into chilled ready meals becoming the leader in Europe for chilled Italian inspired ready meals. Lasagne is our main product. The business has 4 chilled production units: FreshMeals (2 locations in BE), Stefano Tosselli (FR) and Pasta Food Company (PL). Recently the group also moved into frozen meals with the acquisition of KK Fine Foods, a leading frozen manufacturer in the UK foodservice market. Ter Beke sells its  products in more than 34 different countries across Europe with one clear mission: Offering the most delicious meals. Ter Beke is private label producer but also has an own ready meals brands Come a Casa & Vamos. 

All our packaging contributes to the systems of waste prevention and recycling in the countries where it is marketed. For Belgium this means affiliation and contributing to FostPlus® for consumer packaging and Val-i-Pack® industrial waste flows. With this, we also adhere to the covenants agreed within the sector and commitments to individual companies. In cooperation with our suppliers we develop packaging concepts from renewable sources which are certified according to the ‘4-star’ OK biobased® specifications. They also meet the OK Compost Home® standards.
