Founded in 1994, Tottex Impex is a Romanian-based manufacturing company. The family-owned business comprises 2 generations that add together knowledge, experience and passion in order to provide a series of innovative & unconventional 100% natural fabrics and finished products. Our special weaving &finishing technique for cotton and linen fabrics is based on a “back-to-nature” process, we call AIR-SOFT technology. Initially founded to serve the Romanian market, Tottex became over the years an USA export oriented company. For 4 years we have exported 85% of our production to the USA – in 100% cotton weaved cleaning cloths products. By 2008, due to the crisis, the market switched again to local, where we had already brought the typical American product - the 100% cotton weaved and dyed cleaning cloths - on the top shelves of all major retail chains: MAKRO, Carrefour, Leroy Merlin, Billa Rewe, Mega Image Delhaize, JYSK, Hornbach, Cora Delhaize and many others.

For more than 10 years we’ve been successfully supplying this new range of products in Romania, and we wish to do the same on the French and western European markets as well.

AIR-SOFT Technology

At the confluence of industrial and hand-made, AIR-SOFT  Technology  is a modern approach to the traditional fabric hand-making. We kept the patience, gentle processing and care for details of our ancestors to protect natural fibers along the entire production process; no unnecessary, unnatural strains,  no invasive chemical treatments which could affect the strength and original properties of our exclusively natural fibers. We managed to amplify their natural properties:  the fabrics are more resistant and sustainable, are more hydrophilic and have a higher aeration capacity giving the natural fiber more space to move freely.

All of these properties give our fabrics the unique soft-natural-crepe look.
