Un jour Vert

Un jour vert is the first 100% vegan grocery store founded in Bordeaux, France.

Inaugurated in February 2018, by Wilhelm an ambitious youngster of 26 years old. The founder decided to create this shop when he, himself became vegan.

In the shop, a wide choice of vegan products, eco responsible, organic is available. Their main priority is to put ahead local and  French products.

Un Jour Vert is not only for vegan and vegetarian clients. Today, population from all generations (from 15 to 80 years) visit and shop at Un jour Vert. The owner is always present to advise and guide customers.

In store, clients can shop among :

- the grocery section and find dry chocolate, tea, terrine, "vegetal pâté" and superfood

- a chilled section (which is merged with the cheese section), as cheese is one of the main products that attracts customers. Cheese tasting in the shop are often organized.

- a cosmetics section where bio make up, aluminium pipe, coconut bowl, fork and spoon, bamboo toothbrush, Dr Bronner’s toothpaste and body soap are available.

- the library section to find recipies as well as vegan and vegetarian wines which come from small winemaker

- a new bulk section which is having a great expansion. Here, customers can choose which quantity to purchase : Chia seeds, sunflower seeds, gluten free pasta, seeds and nuts are available.

Un jour vert offers facilities like workshop so as customers get to know how to recycle their used paper rolls, cans etc. A Composter also comes to collect the waste in order to use it for agricultural purposes.
