The history of „Vilniaus degtinė“ dates back to 1897, once the state alcohol monopoly was introduced in many governorates of the Russian Empire, including Vilnius.

In 2003, the company was acquired by Marie Bizard Wine and Spirits. Today, it’s  one of top spirits manufacturers in the Baltics, distributing all brands owned by MBWS, to over 15 countries.

Vilniaus Degtine owns the only one operating spirit distillery in Lithuania - Obeliu Spirit Distillery.
