Van Sillevoldt Rijst was founded in 1833 by mr. Cornelis Martinus van Sillevoldt. Van Sillevoldt Rijst is part of the French Marbour group, the main business activity is sourcing, processing cargo rice to white rice, packing, sales and distribution of rice and rice flour. Van Sillevoldt Rijst is one of the leading Pan-European rice suppliers. The Marbour Group also has rice production facilities in the UK, Poland, France, Reunion and Guadeloupe. Marbour is a member of the Federation of European Rice Millers (FERM). The FERM is the voice of the European rice milling industry. FERM has members from around Europe as well as 5 national rice milling associations are represented. In representing over 90% of the milling capacity in Europe, it is able to reflect credibly and authoritatively the interests of the industry.Rice is, like all grains, a source of vitamins and a grass type.
