Founded in the UK in 2020 by Joe Falter and Navid Hadzaad, Zapp is an online retailer which is operational 24/7. It is also present in France and Amsterdam. The firm operates as a dark store and customers can make their purchases through its mobile application which is available for both android and Iphone users.

A key feature of Zapp is that it delivers a customer’s order within 20 minutes. 

Unlike most dark store businesses, Zapp is focussed on convenience products rather than fresh foods and groceries. 

At present, Zapp provides around 1000 references consisting of both food and non-food products. 

Despite being a new company, the employees are experienced and many of them have worked for major e-commerce companies. 

Products are available in the following categories:

• Drinks: soft drinks, mineral water
• Chilled & Fresh Food: fruits

Concerning logistics, Zapp operates 9 micro fulfillment centres and handles all the deliveries through its riders. As mentioned before, all deliveries are made in less than 20 minutes. 

The delivery fee for orders under €31.4 is €2.1 while for orders over €34.1, there are no delivery charges.
