The whole Carnaroli rice, produced at the farm San Massimo, is grown in a natural environment within the Riserva San Massimo, in the very heart of the Ticino Park, in fields, which are irrigated by abundant spring water, where techniques, aiming at the full respect of health and the environment, are used.
The peculiar nut-brown colour and the natural shade result exclusively from the exportation of the outside peel, the so called “husk”: this variety of refining allows to keep all the organoleptic and nourishing properties of the rice, such as fibres, proteins and carbohydrates, without the use of any chemicals.
Modified atmosphere packaging allows to keep intact for a long time the flavour and the aroma of the product, without the need to use any preservative additives.
The authentic whole Carnaroli rice, produced in the farm Riserva San Massimo, can be used to cook the best rice dishes for its extraordinary culinary properties, in particular because it is not sticky and it stays firm after cooking. Its superior quality is mainly the result of the exclusive use of authentic and controlled Carnaroli seeds.
