CABO de PEÑAS Sardine
€ Core price
Sardine is a Clupeid with a bluish-greenish back and silver sides and belly. There are two subspecies: Sardina pilchardus (Walbaum) that lives in the Atlantic Ocean, and Sardina pilchardus (Risso), that lives in the Mediterranean Sea and is smaller. The former is very appreciated and is caught in the Galician coasts (canned by CONNORSA for Cabo de Peñas, due to their excellent situation in the area).
This typical blue fish with tasty meat lives approximately from eight to fifteen years. They are economically very important, especially for European southern countries and, particularly in our coast.
