CAPERS

The caper “capparis spinosa” is the floral bud of the plant of the same name. It is a Mediterranean bush belonging to the “caparidacious” family, with split shafts and thorns, alternating leaves, white flowers and its fruit is the caperberry. To be consumed, it must be pickled in brine. It is mainly used as an indispensable ingredient in exquisite dishes, salads, pasta, meat, fish and sauces.
