Flax Seeds
Flax seeds come from the Linum Usitatissimum plant. They are most commonly used by soaking them in vegetable juices or drinks and then adding them to any recipe or yoghurt. It can also be ground or added directly to salads, cake mixes, breads, etc. As for their health benefits, they stand out for containing a high concentration of beneficial fatty acids such as omega 3, which are vital for maintaining good cardiovascular health. Also noteworthy is their soluble fibre content, which favours the digestive system, helps to eliminate fats and prevents their absorption.
