Coconut Chips with Sea Salt
Grown wild and harvested by nature – for an authentic coconut taste
In the tropical zones the coconut has been a source of food, oil, water, milk and medicine for ages. In the last few years, this fruit (yes, not a nut) has become also very popular and a symbol of health in the northern hemisphere.
In Ghana, the naturally grown brown coconuts are picked from the soil after they have fallen fully ripe from the 15m-high trees of the coconut cooperatives. Then we process the fruits directly in the nearby factory into tasty slices. At the end of the slow drying process we add some chili to make the coconut chips a tasty tropical snack. Shelf life is 8 months and we are able to pack the final product into pouch bags in your preferred size for your private label.
The remaining brown shells are burned in an oven to generate heat for the drying process. This and the energy from solar panels on the roof enable a sustainable manufacturing process in our BRC-certified processing facility.
