A fresh cheese made from cream of Italian cow's milk, it looks like a delicate cream, with a colour ranging from snow white to straw yellow. Creamy and velvety, mascarpone can be enjoyed in its natural state, but the important role it is recognised for is as an essential ingredient in many recipes ranging from sweet to savoury. In fact, mascarpone is the main ingredient in many pastry specialities, such as Tiramisu, Cheesecake and others.
